Milton J. Miller II President - Chief Executive Officer
Milton Miller
became President - CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI) on
July 16, 2007. Miller is Chairman of the Finance
and Operations Committee of the FHLBank Presidents Conference.
He also serves on the boards of Pentegra and REFCORP.
Previously, Miller had served
as FHLBI's Chief Financial Officer since 1985. In this capacity, he was
responsible for credit, investments, funding, derivatives, and risk management.
During this period, he took a major role in the development of the Mortgage
Purchase Program (MPP). Miller began his career at the FHLBI in 1978 as a
research associate and subsequently held the roles of assistant economist, cash
manager and asset/liability manager prior to his appointment as CFO.
Miller
received a BS in management and administration and an MBA in finance from Indiana University, and is a Chartered Financial
Analyst.
Cindy L. Konich Senior Vice President - Chief Financial Officer
Konich is responsible for all treasury department functions including cash management, bank funding that involves
the extensive use of derivatives, and asset/liability management. She was instrumental in the development of the
FHLBI's retained earnings policy and capital plan and is involved in the overall strategic financial planning and
forecasting process.
Konich has been with the FHLBI for 23 years. She holds both a BS in economics and an MBA from Indiana University,
and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Douglas J. Iverson Senior Vice President - Director of Marketing
Iverson oversees the sales and marketing department. His duties include collaborating with other departments on new
product design and development and overseeing preparations for annual member meetings.
Iverson began his career at the FHLBI in 2005 as the manager of the Mortgage Purchase Program. His prior banking
experience includes serving as CEO of Ottawa Savings/AmeriBank and later as a senior officer with Fifth Third Bank.
Iverson earned a BA in economics and management from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and an MBA from Western Michigan
University.
K. Lowell
Short, Jr., CPA Senior Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer
Lowell
manages the bank's financial reporting, accounting and
budgeting functions. He joined FHLBI in August 2009. He has
over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry. He served as
a member of the board of directors of One America Funds, Inc. in Indianapolis,
Indiana
from 2007 to 2009, and was a member of that board's Audit Committee. From 2006
to 2007, Lowell served as Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer of
Forethought Financial Group in Indianapolis
and Batesville, Indiana. He was Senior Vice President at
Conseco Companies in Carmel,
Indiana from 1990 to 2006, where
he was responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions of the
Conseco insurance companies.
Lowell received his MBA in finance from
Indiana
University and his BS in accounting
from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais,
Illinois.
Gregory L. Teare Senior Vice President - Chief Banking Officer
Teare is responsible for member services, which includes credit services, the Mortgage Purchase Program, affordable housing and
community investment programs, and marketing.
Teare joined the FHLBI in September 2008. He has over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry. He most recently was
Risk Management Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Seattle, Washington, and Vice President and Director of Mortgage Purchase
at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Akron.
Jonathan R. West Senior Vice President - Administration, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
West serves as the chief legal officer, responsible for board governance, compliance and ethics. He also oversees
government outreach, corporate communications, human resources and facilities. He came to the FHLBI in 1985 from a
general corporate and insurance defense practice with the Indianapolis law firm of White & Raub.
West graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with a double major in
political science and psychology. He also holds an MBA from the Indiana
University Graduate School of Business and a JD from Indiana University School
of Law.
