MPP Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager
This position will manage the quality assurance area in the Mortgage Purchase Department with responsibility for
assuring loans sold to FHLBI meet Bank guidelines. You will facilitate compliance with all aspects of mortgage
acquisitions from member institutions and conduct research and analysis of mortgage industry and regulatory issues.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage origination, mortgage underwriting,
mortgage insurance and/or mortgage servicing; possess knowledge of mortgage banking practices and procedures, including
secondary marketing, document custodian function, and servicing function; knowledge of FHA loss mitigation practices; be
familiar with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan underwriting guidelines; possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, business
administration, accounting or other related field; and be familiar with MS Access.
Portfolio Manager
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the MBS and MPP (purchased mortgages) portfolios, including cash flow and credit analysis, issuance of debt for funding, portfolio modeling, pricing and hedging of purchased loans.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
• Minimum 8 years’ experience with mortgage-backed portfolio and related
mortgage portfolio experience.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or
Finance. CFA or CPA desirable.
• Excellent quantitative skills.
• Thorough understanding of mortgages and structured mortgage products.
Senior Vice President, Chief Banking Officer
We have an exceptional opportunity for an innovative, imaginative, and experienced executive to lead and manage the Bank’s primary
member-oriented business lines, including credit services, the Mortgage Purchase Program, and Affordable Housing/Community Investment.
Overall responsibilities include the sales and marketing function. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, you will be responsible for
establishing the strategic direction and policies for each business line.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
• Masters of Business Administration and/or CPA
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a relevant senior capacity at large financial institutions or investment banks
• Thorough understanding of the operations and capital market funding needs of commercial banks, thrifts, and credit unions.
Familiarity with insurance industry liquidity and funding issues also helpful.
• Working knowledge of residential mortgage loan origination, underwriting, servicing and secondary market operations.
Familiarity with securitization and MBS
markets, including credit rating agency considerations.
• Understanding of low-income housing and community economic
development needs
• Strong analytical, compliance, and credit risk
management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
