On March 23, Cindy Konich, President and CEO of FHLBank Indianapolis, sent the following message to our members that use our correspondent services:
To our valued Correspondent Services customers:
You’ve likely heard that Finastra, the firm that provides automated wire services functionality to the banking industry, took their servers offline last Friday to counter an attempted security breach. FHLBank Indianapolis’ Correspondent Services team similarly relies on Finastra to process daily wire transfer requests for members. As a result, our Wire Team is implementing backup processes to complete these transactions. Our priority is serving our members safely and soundly as always, and that includes taking the extra time necessary to ensure we accurately perform these essential wire transactions.
Please bear with us as we continue to serve your Correspondent Services needs, and understand we remain ready and committed to meeting your liquidity transaction needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns about Wire Processing, please contact Lisa Chilcote at 317-465-0477 or lchilcote@fhlbi.com.
Thank you,
Cindy Konich, President and CEO
