Affordable Housing Advisory Council

The 12-member Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC), comprised of housing and community development leaders from throughout FHLBI's District, meet quarterly with staff and representatives of FHLBI Board of Directors to advise the bank on low- and moderate-income housing programs and housing needs in Indiana and Michigan. Council members are appointed by the FHLBI Board of Directors to serve for terms of three years.

CoverAHAC operates according to its charter. Members, community organizations, or any other interested parties may nominate qualified individuals for the Advisory Council.  To nominate an individual to the council, please complete and submit the 2019 AHAC Nomination form.

    Myra Wilkey is the Executive Director of Mental Health America of West Central Indiana, Inc. In her work with Mental Health America, Myra provides advocacy, education, and support to promote mental wellness and help people affected by mental illness live healthier lives. She has co-developed and managed 70 units of supportive housing (Younity House, Younity Village and Liberty Village), and implemented and managed Sweet Home Terre Firma (8 scattered site/rental assistance).

    Glenn Wilson is the President/CEO of Communities First, a nonprofit community development corporation in Flint, Michigan. The organization takes a holistic approach to community development by seeking opportunities in affordable housing, economic development, arts and culture, and environmental education for the benefit of those they serve. In his role, Glenn is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the organization's expansion plan. He leads a team of capable employees and nearly 250 volunteers, overseeing every aspect of the organization including housing and commercial development, community outreach programs, fundraising, and marketing.
