Lowell Short is responsible for the bank's accounting, financial reporting and controls, corporate expense and vendor management and correspondent services functions. He joined FHLBank Indianapolis in August 2009 with over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry. Short served as a member of the board of directors and audit committee of One America Funds from 2007 to 2009. He was an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Forethought Financial Group from 2006 to 2007. Short also served as Senior Vice President at Conseco from 1990 to 2006, where he was responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions for the company's insurance subsidiaries. Short holds an undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Short holds a Certified Public Accountant designation and a Bank Financial Management diploma from the American Bankers Association.
